Packers inactives: Who’s in, who’s out for Week 3 vs. Buccaneers?

The Green Bay Packers will have All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari active on Sunday in Tampa Bay for just the second time since his injury at the end of the 2020 season. After missing the first two games of this year, Bakhtiari is officially active for Week 3.

The Packers will be without rookie Christian Watson, but Bakhtiari, receiver Randall Cobb and tight end Marcedes Lewis are all active for Matt LaFleur’s team on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

All six inactive players are rookies.

Here’s a quick look at the inactive list for the Packers in Week 3:

Inactive list

WR Christian Watson
OT Rasheed Walker
OT Caleb Jones
OL Sean Rhyan
WR Samori Toure
DL Jonathan Ford

Watson is dealing with a hamstring injury and will miss a game for the first time in his NFL career. The Packers will miss his speed. Receiver Sammy Watkins, who was ruled out on Friday, is now on injured reserve. The other five inactive players are healthy scratches.

Who’s in

The Packers are getting back Bakhtiari for the first time in the 2022 season. It’s been a long journey back to the field. The next question: How long will he play on Sunday? He is expected to start at left tackle. Bakhtiari, Cobb and Lewis are all active despite being listed as questionable to play.

Bucs inactive list

QB Kyle Trask
WR Julio Jones
WR Chris Godwin
OT Donovan Smith
TE Cade Otton
DL Akiem Hicks

The Bucs will also be without receiver Mike Evans (suspension), meaning Tom Brady’s offense is down its top three receivers and four preferred starters.
