Owl Madness to be held Oct. 26

Oct. 7—Back for a second year is Owl Madness, which will be the first chance for fans to meet this year's Kennesaw State men's and women's basketball teams.

The event will be held on the Campus Green on Kennesaw State's main campus, beginning at 5 p.m Oct. 26

Free food, T-shirts (for the first 250 students), posters and prize giveaways will all be available, while men's coach Amir Abdur-Rahim and women's coach Octavia Blue will introduce their squads for the 2022-23 season. Cheerleaders will also be in attendance, while the 90-minute event will also feature student contests before concluding with a poster autograph session and food for all attendees.

The men's team returns all five starters, led by preseason all-ASUN Conference selection Chris Youngblood, and is looking to build off the momentum of last year's performance, which saw numerous records and program standards set.

The women's team, meanwhile, is in Year 2 of the Blue era and is led by two-time all-ASUN honoree Amani Johnson, the third-leading scorer in program history.

Both teams will start their seasons in November. The men will play their home opener against LaGrange on Nov. 7, while the women's home opener is Nov. 10 against Middle Georgia State.
