Wedding Crashers star Owen Wilson is obligated to shell out a huge amount of dough for an estranged daughter that he's never met or want to be a part of her life or her mother's. He refuses to see both of them...period!
Former on-again-off-again girlfriend Varunie Vongsvirates, who filed a paternity petition in May 2018, five months before baby Lyla Aranya Wilson was born.
After a DNA test, Wilson insisted upon revealed he IS Lyla’s father, the pair’s lawyers agreed to a $25,000 monthly payment, in addition to a one-off payment of $70,000 to cover a night nurse, labor coach, and Varunie’s legal fees. On top of that, Wilson agreed to add his daughter to his Screen Actors Guild medical insurance.

Owen Wilson Going MIA
According to Radar Online after learning about the pregnancy, Owen, 51 changed his phone number and went MIA (Missing In Action). He pays $300K a year in child support. He doesn't want anything to do with the mother and daughter and hasn't spoken to the 'baby momma' either!
An insider told “When Varunie told Owen she was pregnant, he was not happy about it, and that was the last time they ever spoke… He changed his phone number. He’s never met his daughter and then he gave no heads up that he was changing his number.”
Wilson regularly sees his other two children: 7-year-old Ford, whom he had with ex Jade Duell, and 4-year-old Finn with trainer Caroline Lindqvist.

The source went on to say that Varunie dropped everything to become a full-time, single mom (which is a lifestyle she can now afford, thankfully!), adding that Owen would be a great Dad to his third daughter but that's not going to be the case. He specifically wants zero visitation rights.
“Varunie’s mother passed away when she was still kind of young and impressionable. She knows what it’s like to grow up with one parent. She doesn’t want that to happen to her daughter… She just wants her daughter to have a normal life. It didn’t work out between the two of them — that happens — but to abandon his child is rude and wrong.”

I don't follow the actor but he should have some sense in his head to meet his new daughter. Not be absent from her life!
