Three things to know about OU vs. Texas

► The Sooners come into the game tied with Iowa State for first place in the Big 12 with Texas a half-game back. OU is looking for its first win over a top-10 team since beating the then-No. 8 Longhorns in 2017.

► OU was not among the top 16 seeds released by the NCAA on Thursday, despite being one of four teams nationally with 12 or more wins over top-100 teams in the NET rankings. Texas was the top Big 12 team at No. 7, Iowa State No. 10, Baylor No. 13 and Kansas State No. 16.

► Vic Schaefer’s Texas staff has plenty of Oklahoma connections. Dionnah Jackson-Durrett, a former OU standout, is in her second season as the Longhorns’ associate head coach. Another assistant, Calamity McEntire, is a Kiowa native who played two seasons at Eastern Oklahoma State. McEntire is in her first season at Texas.
