Kenny Stills won't get a chance to make up for a key drop that led to an interception.

The New Orleans Saints waived the wide receiver Tuesday, less than a week after he dropped a pass near the goal line in a 27-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

On the play, linebacker Micah Parson dropped back into coverage and deflected the pass to Hill. Safety Jayron Kearse dove for and caught the ball before it hit the ground, dragging his toes inbounds for the interception.

It was the first of four interceptions thrown by Saints quarterback Taysom Hill in the game.

"We didn't help him any in the first half. I'll be honest with you, we gotta catch that first interception," Saints coach Sean Payton said after the game. "We got a perfect coverage look, we drop the ball, they make a good play on it, that's unfortunate."

It was Stills' second stint with the Saints, who drafted him in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft. After stops in Miami (2015-18) and Houston (2019-20), the Saints signed Stills earlier this season.

In 10 games with New Orleans this season, Stills caught five passes on 22 targets (22.7%) for 64 yards and one touchdown. He also had a rushing touchdown.
