Lee County has opened a Multi-Agency Resource Center to aid residents impacted by Hurricane Ian with the opportunity for one-stop service.
What are the hours? Where is it?
Center hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Lakes Regional Library, 15290 Bass Road, Fort Myers.
The center is located with the Disaster Recovery Center, which was opened earlier this week by FEMA and the Florida Division of Emergency Management. This operation is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Representatives of the Small Business Administration also are available.

Who are the participating organizations?
Participating organizations onsite include numerous property insurance companies, local and state government offices (with the ability to replace driver’s licenses, birth certificates, etc.), wireless providers, mental healthcare providers and nonprofit organizations.

Initial Payment Center available
Also available now at the site is the Initial Payment Center operated by Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.
Policyholders can meet directly with their insurance companies to file claims. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, insurance carriers will focus on the immediate needs of policy holders by providing resources for specific items including living expenses.
Residents should check in with staff upon arrival at the Lakes Regional Library site to easily locate the resources they need.
Another recovery center expected to open in Fort Myers
An additional Disaster Recovery Center is expected to officially open Friday at 2295 Victoria Ave., Fort Myers.
