Update: Names released of mother killed, daughters injured in Fayetteville wreck

A mother was killed and her two daughters injured in a single-vehicle rollover wreck early Wednesday in Fayetteville, police said.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, front seat passenger, Renata Castro, 41, of Granther Court, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 12:57 a.m. accident on Rosehill Road.

Castro's daughter Marissa Castro, 14, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center; her other daughter, Deanna Castro, 20, was transported with minor injuries.

According to police, Deanna Castro was driving a 2011 BMW sedan when it overturned near Durwood Drive.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Marissa Castro was listed in stable condition late Wednesday morning, police said.
