The United States is considered a fairly young country, but of course there are plenty of historical towns and cities that have been around for a very, very long time. By looking at the year each towns were founded by settlers, we can see figure out the oldest towns in each state.

Of course, it's important to remember that before European settlers arrived on the land that is now known as America, Native Americans lived here and called these places their own. The sad fact is that we may never know the true first settlers of some of these places or the real oldest towns across the country.
