Okaloosa County school bus sideswipes car near Crestview; no students injured

CRESTVIEW — No injuries were reported after an Okaloosa County school bus was involved in a crash on Eden Square on Friday morning.

The crash happened at 9:20 a.m. as the bus was approaching Kittrell Lane near Crestview, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The school bus driver, a 60-year-old Crestview man, reportedly crossed over the center line while rounding a curve and sideswiped a sedan that was heading west.

There were 27 children on the bus. According to the FHP, none of the children were injured. The parents and guardians of the children were notified.
