The Toronto Blue Jays currently sit as the second wild card team in the American League. Although they have lost their last four, the Jays seem to have righted the ship overall and playing better baseball than in the first couple of months this season. Meanwhile, the Houston Astros are again a power in the American League. Tonight, they welcome an old friend back to Houston as Zack Greinke and the Kansas City Royals are in town.
Tonight, on the diamond the EDGE MLB analysts have done a deep dive into the odds markets for these two MLB games. They are going head-to-head in a duel of sorts to see which game can produce a bigger payday.
The EDGE team of MLB analysts have paired up as follows: and DJ Short (@djshort) and Drew Silva (@drewsilv) have joined forces for Parlay #1 and John Venezia (@_JohnnyVTV) and Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) have combined efforts for Parlay #2. Toronto Blue Jays @ Oakland Athletics OVER 8 (-121)
The Toronto Blue Jays ML (-180)
Parlay Boosted from +175 to +200 courtesy of PointsBet.
DJ Short (@djshort) and Drew Silva (@drewsilv):
In this matchup of ineffective starters and struggling bullpens, expect the bats to sing. Yusei Kikuchi of the Blue Jays finished the month of June with a 7.17 ERA in six starts covering 21 1/3 innings, and Adrian Martinez of the A’s got lit up for seven earned runs over just 4 2/3 frames in what was his second career major league appearance last Thursday versus the Mariners.
We are banking on a slugfest out in Oakland on Tuesday night, and the Blue Jays are far more equipped to come out on top in that sort of game script. They boast the second-best combined team OPS (.758) of all 30 major league teams and the third-best batting average at .257. Look for them to blitz young starter Adrian Martinez and then have their way with the Athletics’ patchwork bullpen.

Zack Greinke Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-160) for Kansas City against Houston
The Houston Astros RL -1.5 vs. the Kansas City Royals
Parlay Boosted from +170 to +195 courtesy of PointsBet.
John Venezia (@_JohnnyVTV) and Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports):
Zack Greinke will be making his first road start since May 29 and his first game against the Astros since 2018.
Greinke owns a 6.90 ERA on the road, along with a .294 OBA and 19 strikeouts over 30.0 innings and six starts. On the season, Greinke ranks in the worst and second to worst percentiles for K% and whiff %, as he is posting career-lows in both.
The Astros have faced four starting pitchers in July so far and only one surpassed 5.0 innings, while that group totaled 15 earned runs. With a 0.63 Ks per inning average away from Kansas City, Greinke should need 5-6 innings of work to hit four-plus strikeouts versus Houston, so let's play the Under 3.5 Ks.
Houston has won 3 straight starts made by Luis Garcia. Despite a home era of 4.70, his OBA is only .210. Not to mention he threw 7 innings of 2-run ball in his first start against the Royals this season. The ‘Stros are currently on a 7-game winning streak with five of them coming by at least two runs. For a team that is 25-11 at home, they should show out tonight against this KC squad.

Enjoy the night in baseball and enjoy the Late Sweat Duel.
