Notre Dame, Wisconsin among pair of top 25 matchups to watch in Week 4

Two top 25 matchups at neutral site venues highlight Week 4 of the college football season:

No. 12 Notre Dame (3-0) vs. No. 18 Wisconsin (1-1, 0-1 Big Ten)

Noon Saturday, FOX

Buzz: This latest version of the Shamrock Series has Notre Dame meeting Wisconsin at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Fighting Irish, who are 9-0 in these neutral-site matchups, was scheduled to meet the Badgers in Lambeau Field last season before it was canceled due to the pandemic. Quarterback Jack Coan started his career at Wisconsin where he started 18 games before transferring to Notre Dame this offseason. The Irish have won 19 of their last 21 games.

No. 7 Texas A&M (3-0, 0-0 SEC) vs. No. 16 Arkansas (3-0, 0-0 SEC)

3:30 p.m. Saturday, CBS

Buzz: Old Southwest Conference rivals clash as Texas A&M looks to make it 10 straight wins against Arkansas, including six consecutive wins at AT&T Stadium. This is the first time both teams are ranked in the top 25 since 2016. Arkansas is looking to improve to 4-0 for the first time since 2003. Texas A&M is the only team in the Football Bowl Subdivision allowing less than 100 yards passing on defense and one of five schools that haven’t allowed a passing touchdown.

No. 9 Clemson (2-1, 1-0 ACC) at NC State (2-1, 0-0 ACC)

3:30 p.m. Saturday, ESPN

Buzz: Clemson has won eight straight and 15 of its last 16 games but the Tigers have had their struggles on on offense with the team ranked last in the ACC. Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei has completed only 34% of passes that are 10 yards or longer and thrown just one touchdown. NC State is 0-10 against top 10 teams under coach Dave Doeren but the Wolfpack feature one of the best defenses in the conference, allowing just four touchdowns.

Tennessee (2-1, 0-0 SEC) at No. 11 Florida (2-1, 0-1 SEC)

7 p.m. Saturday, ESPN

Buzz: A week after taking No. 1 Alabama to the brink of defeat, Florida looks to extend its dominance over Tennessee in the Swamp. The Gators have won four straight and 15 of the last 16 meetings against the Volunteers, who last won at Florida in 2003. UF has the top rushing offense in the SEC, averaging 335 yards per game while Tennessee has the second-best rushing defense in the conference. The Volunteers haven’t allowed a team to run for more than 100 yards in a game.

West Virginia (2-1, 0-0 Big 12) at No. 4 Oklahoma (3-0, 0-0 Big 12)

7:30 p.m. Saturday, ABC

Buzz: West Virginia is looking for its first win against Oklahoma since joining the Big 12 in 2012 (0-8). The Mountaineers are coming off an upset over then-No. 15 Virginia Tech last week. WVU edge rusher Jared Bartlett leads the league in sacks (3.0) and third in tackles for loss (3.5). Sooners quarterback Spencer Rattler has been outstanding under pressure, completing 79% of his passes and throwing five touchdowns when blitzed according to Pro Football Focus.
