Notre Dame could be down one of their stars against Ohio State

This was not the news that anyone wanted to hear. As Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman met with the media today, he announced an injury to star All-American offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson that could potentially keep him out of the season opening contest against Ohio State.

Freeman said that Patterson suffered a foot sprain during practice Monday and will be held out of practice for the next 10 days. That would put the star lineman as “questionable” for the highly anticipated road contest against Ohio State.

The one saving grace is that Patterson has not yet been labeled out of the game, but not being fully healthy leading up to the game is not the best news. Time will tell if Patterson can be healthy enough to see the field against the Buckeyes on November 3rd.
