Oct. 21—Some public transit riders may soon discover they just can't get no satisfaction.

Fans of the Rolling Stones, George Strait and the Minnesota Vikings, take note. If you're headed to U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis by bus or light rail, don't expect a return ride the same way toward the witching hour.

That's because on Saturdays and Sundays, the last scheduled Metro Transit trips departing the stadium are at approximately 11:30 p.m. Light rail frequency is being reduced beginning this Saturday in response to an operator shortage.

Officials with the Transit Authority, which has been hard-hit by decreased ridership, passenger revenue and workforce since the outset of the pandemic, announced Thursday that no extra service will roll out after the events let out.

The legendary British rockers will bring their "No Filter" tour to the 73,000-seat stadium on Sunday and the Vikings-Dallas Cowboys game kicks off at 7:20 p.m. on Halloween. Strait, a popular country crooner, swings into town on Nov. 13.
