The reign of "Friends" on Netflix is coming to an end, as the beloved sitcom officially left the popular streaming service at the turn of the year. After five years of sitting at subscribers' fingertips, the series is no longer available.

As previously announced, WarnerMedia has acquired the rights to all 236 episodes of the NBC sitcom for its forthcoming new streaming platform, HBO Max. Since the new venture is set to officially launch in May 2020, however, there is technically no possible — and legal — way to stream "Friends" until then.

Those super-fans who must get their fix before the show returns to the streaming world will have to resort to shelling out a bit more cash to satisfy their binging cravings. With this in mind, the iconic series is currently available for purchase through digital retailers Amazon, iTunes and YouTube.

Amazon currently offers two purchasing options for the series, with the first being a special limited edition version fully consisting of the complete DVD box set for $74.20. YouTube also offers the same product for the same price.

Amazon also offering the 25th-anniversary version of the complete series for $138.88. The same product is available on iTunes for a $1.11 difference, making this choice largely dependent on your purchase or platform preference.

Amazon Prime Video customers can also purchase the series at $2.99 per episode (HD), or $19.99 per season.

The iconic comedy series starred Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry, all in their 20s and 30s at the time. The show followed the group of friends as they navigated through life in New York City. Lasting for 10 seasons, the show aired from 1994 to 2005.
