Norwin wins communications awards

The Norwin School District has won two awards in a statewide school district communications contest.

The district won an award of honor and an award of merit in the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association's 2020 Excellence in Communications Contest, which attracted more than 250 entries.

The award of honor in the writing category was for "Superintendent's Message to the Community," which was an article in the winter 2020 edition of IN Norwin magazine, said Jonathan Szish, communications director. The award of merit in the social media category was for the school district's #NorwinStrong campaign.

Superintendent Jeff Taylor credited Szish for helping to move Norwin's communications beyond facts and information "into an engaging story of our community and achievements."
