Northern Kentucky University announced Tuesday the end of an eight-year fundraising campaign that brought in more than $84.5 million. It marks the most successful giving campaign in the university's history.

“We are grateful to all the donors, alumni, friends and supporters who gave to the university during the Further, Faster campaign,” NKU President Ashish Vaidya said in a news release. “This campaign has been a tremendous success, impacting every facet of our campus and laying the foundation for a future full of possibilities.”

The campaign began its silent phase in July 2014 and announced it publicly in the spring of 2019. The initial goal was to bring in $75 million to fund scholarships, retention efforts, workforce transitions and community engagement projects.
