Nissin’s Pumpkin Spice Cup Noodles are coming 'back from the dead' this fall

Nissin has announced the return of Pumpkin Spice Cup Noodles, which are scheduled to make a comeback this fall.

The Japanese company announced the return of the infamous flavor in a tweet on Aug. 4, writing that Pumpkin Spice Cup Noodles are "back from the dead" and will be available “for a limited time” later this year at select retailers across the country.

While Nissin did not elaborate much on the upcoming release, some Twitter users could not help but poke fun at the announcement.

I accidentally dropped my entire cup noodles on my bare foot earlier,” one user wrote. “So now I need to know, does the pumpkin spice have a good toe-feel or nah?”

HOT DAMN, AGAIN, CUP NOODLES!?” another user wrote, accompanying the tweet with an exploding head emoji.

“We can’t stop ourselves, Tony!!!” Nissin wrote in reply.

Nissin previously described the limited edition flavor as “saucy” and “not soup-based."

Made with a special pumpkin seasoning that's the perfect blend of sweet, savory and spiced, these saucy noodles are ready with just a splash of water and four minutes in the microwave,” Nissin noted.

In September 2021, the company first teased the product on Twitter in response to a Krispy Kreme announcement about Pumpkin Spice donuts, which was posted around the same time Nissin announced a line of Cup Noodles-flavored sodas in honor of its 50th anniversary celebration.
