With the surprise success of the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Nintendo Switch—Animal Crossing: New Horizons Edition, popular gaming accessory manufacturer PowerA is gearing up to drop two new Animal Crossing-themed wired controllers for the Nintendo Switch.
The controllers won’t be released until February 14, but you can pre-order them now, and we suggest you do—they’re expected to sell out fast. Head on over to Amazon and grab them for just $25 each.
Each controller has a 3.5mm audio jack and mappable buttons and triggers, plus a detachable 10-foot USB cable with a Velcro strap. Just plug in and start playing!
If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)
First up: PowerA’s Enhanced Wired Controller for Nintendo Switch features Tom Nook, the Tanuki (Japanese raccoon) who owns and runs the village store, travel agency and buildings on the deserted island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The controller comes with a detachable 10-foot USB cable and works with the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.
This controller features Isabelle, the friendly and hardworking Shizue (Japanese Shih Tzu) who assists Tom Nook and other players with tasks around the island.
The reviews quoted above reflect the most recent versions at the time of publication.
