Nick Cannon says he's 'not looking to populate the Earth completely' after eight kids

Nick Cannon isn't anticipating having more children after his eighth child is born.

The "Wild 'N Out" host revealed in an interview on E! News' "Daily Pop" Tuesday that he's looking into family planning prevention for himself.

"I already went and got my vasectomy consultation," he shared.

Cannon continued: "I ain’t looking to populate the Earth completely, but I’m definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have … I'm not out here looking (to have more)."

The "Masked Singer" host shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, 11, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; son Golden, 5, and daughter Powerful, 1, with Brittany Bell; and 11-month-old twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa. In December 2021, Cannon's 5-month-old son Zen, shared with Alyssa Scott, died last December after a battle with brain cancer caused by the condition Hydrocephalus.

In January, a month after Zen's death, Cannon announced on his eponymous talk show that he is expecting a son with real estate agent and model Bre Tiesi. During the “pic of the day” segment of his show, Cannon brought out a framed photo of himself and Tiesi taken during the expectant parents’ gender reveal party, surrounded by their loved ones and a helicopter emitting blue smoke in the sky behind them.

“It’s a boy: We found out officially yesterday,” Cannon said of the photo.

Speaking on "Daily Pop," Cannon noted that he's "blessed with the gifts of children," but isn't sure he “would’ve designed it this way" when reflecting on his kids.

"I find solace, I find peace in my children, and I find purpose," he continued.

Cannon continued to gush about fatherhood, which he referred to as "the best part of life."

When the entertainer was questioned about managing fatherhood in multiple households, he said, "It's definitely challenging. I give respect and honor to all the mothers because they're wonderful, outstanding people. The extracurricular activities, schooling, education, it's structured in such a way to where no one feels like they're not getting enough time."

"Contrary to popular belief, where people might think there's no way he could be present to all of them, it has worked out phenomenally," Cannon declared. "I just pray that it continues to work as smoothly as it does because I'm able to see and communicate with all my children every single day. I give everyone their respected time, whatever is needed of me."

During the episode of Cannon's talk show where he revealed he's expecting his eighth child, he shared that he pursued celibacy at the recommendation of his therapist. Cannon said he remained celibate "almost to New Year's" and is no longer celibate.

"I was like, 'Yo, I got to get my life under control,' because I felt like I was out of control," he said. "Honestly, that celibacy did help me through the journey of getting one with myself."
