“I snapped all the ligaments on the outside of my foot. I’ve got such ugly feet or I’d show the world how bruised it is.”
He added: “I was running drunk and in these new streets, you can drive down them and they’re also sometimes pedestrianised... so the kerb looks the same as the actual driveable road and there was a little kerb.”
Speaking about how much he had been drinking Horan admitted: “I was about six pints deep.”
Replying to fans on Twitter, Horan confessed that his ankle still hurt and added: “Yeh but I’m hard as nails.”
He revealed he had been prescribed something for the pain and was due to see the doctor again this week.
Horan said the boot was comfortable to walk in and when asked how drunk he was at the time of the fall insisted: “Actually not that drunk to be honest hahaha . Very low curb that I didn’t see.”

The Irish singer released his second solo album, Heartbreak Weather, in March. He was scheduled to play the US this summer, before taking his Nice To Meet Ya tour to Europe in October.
But the shows have all been postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
Horan found fame with boyband One Direction after competing in The X Factor in 2010.
Though he and bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have since gone their separate ways, 1D launched a new website last month to mark their 10th anniversary, sparking rumours of a possible reunion tour.
