NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBCSports Edge’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are nine games in the NHL on Saturday.

Dylan Larkin (Detroit), C $6,900 (FanDuel), $6,500 (Draft Kings), $20 (Yahoo) Larkin had a mediocre season last year with only 23 points in 44 games. But this season has been different as he is off to a great start with 10 goals and 18 points in 17 games including a six-game points streak with six goals and nine points. It is always nice to have Leon Draisaitl and/or Connor McDavid in your lineup but they are too expensive Saturday.

Nick Suzuki (Montreal), C $6,600 (FanDuel), $5,000 (Draft Kings), $16 (Yahoo)

Suzuki will look to get back on form as he has only one assist in his last seven games. He is a great price in Draft Kings and still has four goals and 15 points in 22 games. Suzuki is a talent and one of the few on the Canadiens at this time. He sees plenty of ice time as he is averaging 19:11 per game.

Kyle Connor (Winnipeg), W $8,800 (FanDuel), $7,500 (Draft Kings), $31 (Yahoo)

Connor is pointless in his last three as the Jets are struggling with their best scorer in a slump. Overall, Connor has 12 goals and 22 points in 20 games as the underrated forward has constantly been a force offensively since coming into the NHL in the 2017-18 season.

Brady Tkachuk (Ottawa), W $6,900 (FanDuel), $5,900 (Draft Kings), $18 (Yahoo)

Tkachuk missed all of training camp and the first few games of the regular season after he waited until opening night to sign a long-term deal with Ottawa. He was behind the eight-ball to start the season as he was playing catch-up with the rest of the league but he is now in hockey shape. Tkachuk has four goals and 11 points in 15 games but he does more than produce on the scoresheet as he was atop the NHL last season in both shots on goal and hits.

Matt Duchene (Nashville), W $6,900 (FanDuel), $5,700 (Draft Kings), $21 (Yahoo)

What a difference a year makes! Last season Duchene, in an injury-riddled year, had six goals and 13 points in 34 games. It was the second so-so season since the Predators gave him a seven-year/$56 million deal but this season he has been everything the Predators thought he would be. Duchene has 12 goals and 21 points in 20 games and is nicely priced in DraftKings and Yahoo.

Bargain Bin: Roope Hintz (Dallas), C $6,400 (FanDuel), $5,600 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo), Robert Thomas (St. Louis), C $4,400 (FanDuel), $3,700 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo), Zack Kassian (Edmonton), W $3,900 (FanDuel) $2,600 (Draft Kings), $10 (Yahoo), Jordan Kyrou (St. Louis), W $6,200 (FanDuel), $4,400 (Draft Kings), $20 (Yahoo), Lucas Raymond (Detroit), W $5,400 (FanDuel), $5,000 (Draft Kings), $18 (Yahoo)

Cale Makar (Colorado), $7,100 (FanDuel), $7,700 (Draft Kings), $26 (Yahoo)

Makar has been so hot of late as he is on a five-game goal-scoring streak, unheard of for a defenseman. He has been sensational with seven goals and nine points in the five games, giving him nine goals and 17 points in just 15 games. This is Bobby Orr-like.

Jakub Chychrun (Arizona), $5,200 (FanDuel), $7,100 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo)

It was a horrible start to the season for Chychrun who had only one assist in his first 14 games. But he is looking more and more like the defenseman from last season where he led the NHL in goals by a defensemen with 18. He has two goals and five points in his last six games.

Tyson Barrie (Edmonton), $5,400 (FanDuel), $5,800 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo)

The Oilers have lost Darnell Nurse for a while so Barrie has come to the forefront. Barrie led all defensemen in points last season with 48 and has three goals and 11 points in 19 games this season including six points on the power play. It really helps his stats playing with McDavid and Draisaitl on the power play.

Bargain Bin:

Shayne Gostisbehere (Arizona), $5,100 (FanDuel), $5,200 (Draft Kings), $19 (Yahoo), Oliver Kylington (Calgary), $4,300 (FanDuel), $3,700 (Draft Kings), $18 (Yahoo), Evan Bouchard (Edmonton), $4,400 (FanDuel), $5,400 (Draft Kings), $17 (Yahoo), Moritz Seider (Detroit), $4,200 (FanDuel), $5,400 (Draft Kings), $16 (Yahoo)

Spencer Knight (Florida), $8,100 (FanDuel), $One Game Flex (Draft Kings), $26 (Yahoo)

Knight has been winning with a 5-2-1 record but his 3.03 GAA and .903 save percentage have been lacklustre. The good news is that he is coming off his best start of the season, stopping 45-of-46 shots in a win last week over New Jersey. The 20-year-old came into the NHL last season and was 4-0-0 and the Panthers had no qualms about playing him in the playoffs when Sergei Bobrovsky could not do the job. The Panthers face the Kraken Saturday.

Alex Nedeljkovic (Detroit), $8,000 (FanDuel), $8,000 (Draft Kings), $28 (Yahoo)

The Red Wings made a big off-season move in trading for Nedeljkovic who was 15-5-3 with a 1.90 GAA and a .932 save percentage for Carolina last season. While he has struggled at times this season, it looks like the split of the net with Thomas Greiss is ending with Nedeljkovic in line for the majority of starts. Nedeljkovic is 5-3-3 this season with a 2.76 GAA and a .917 save percentage. He faces Buffalo Saturday.

Other plays:

Jonathan Quick (Los Angeles), $8,600 (FanDuel), $8,500 (Draft Kings), $35 (Yahoo), Jacob Markstrom (Calgary), $7,900 (FanDuel), $7,900 (Draft Kings), $40 (Yahoo)
