When Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe tells his team to grind in the corners and bring some sandpaper, they might be able to do it literally now.

Ahead of the NHL’s 2022 Heritage Classic, every Leafs player left the team bus and entered Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario in full steelworker getups — donning coveralls, gloves and hard hats.

According to Keefe, the coordinated outfits were the players’ ideas, and the team wanted to honor the 100-year tradition of steel mills in Hamilton — recognizing one of the first companies in the city, Stelco, which was founded in 1910.

Social media, off course, took it and ran with it.

On the other side of the rink, the Buffalo Sabres weren't to be outdone as they entered ironically sporting these exquisite Flint Tropics threads from the classic film Semi-Pro ahead of their fridgin outdoor contest versus Toronto.

High fashion all around, fellas.
