How 'bout them Cowboys?

After beating the Indianapolis Colts in NFL Week 13, Dallas is 9-3 on the season and up to No. 2 in our NFL power rankings.

Are the Cowboys a legit Super Bowl contender?

They look like they are for real to us.

Since losing to the Eagles in Week 6, 26-17, Dallas has gone 5-1 (coinciding with the return of Dak Prescott), only falling to the Packers in Green Bay in overtime, 31-28 in Week 10.

The Cowboys' offense is on fire, having scored at least 40 points in three of their past five games (they put up 49 in a win vs. the Chicago Bears, 40 in a win at the Minnesota Vikings and 54 in the win over the Colts).

The defense is also stepping up, making critical stops for Dallas.

NFL Week 14 odds: Raiders vs. Rams | Jets vs. Bills | Browns vs. Bengals | Texans vs. Cowboys | Vikings vs. Lions | Eagles vs. Giants | Ravens vs. Steelers | Jaguars vs. Titans | Chiefs vs. Broncos | Panthers vs. Seahawks | Buccaneers vs. 49ers | Dolphins vs. Chargers | Patriots vs. Cardinals

The schedule isn't too daunting down the stretch, with the Cowboys hosting the Houston Texans in Week 14 before playing at the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15 and then getting to host the Eagles in Week 16 in a pivotal NFC East showdown.

Dallas ends the regular season at the Tennessee Titans and at the Washington Commanders.

The Cowboys might not end up catching the 11-1 Eagles for the NFC East title, but they are looking more and more like a legitimate Super Bowl threat in the NFL playoffs.

We can't wait to see how it all plays out.

How to watch:NFL Week 14 schedule, television information

The Dallas Cowboys are not No. 1 in our NFL power rankings, but they are No. 2.
The Dallas Cowboys are not No. 1 in our NFL power rankings, but they are No. 2.

32. Houston Texans (32)

Lost to Browns, 27-14, to fall to 1-10-1. Who will the Texans take with the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft?

31. Denver Broncos (31)

Lost to Ravens, 10-9, to fall to 3-9. The Broncos have only scored 166 points this season. The 1-10-1 Texans have scored 188.

30. Chicago Bears (30)

Lost to Packers, 28-19, to fall to 3-10. Justin Fields can do some amazing things on the football field. It just hasn't resulted in wins for Chicago.

29. Los Angeles Rams (28)

Lost to Seahawks, 27-23, to fall to 3-9. The Rams can always take solace in their Super Bowl championship, but they are in the midst of a nightmare of a season.

28. Indianapolis Colts (22)

Lost to Cowboys, 54-19, to fall to 4-8-1. To say that the Colts did not look good against the Cowboys is an understatement.

27. Carolina Panthers (27)

Entered bye week in NFL Week 13 with 4-8 record.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (23)

Lost to Lions, 40-14, to fall to 4-8. This team is 3-3 at home and 1-5 away from home. It has only been outscored by 14 points on the season.

25. New Orleans Saints (25)

Lost to Buccaneers, 17-16, to fall to 4-9. Is Andy Dalton really the team's best option at QB?

24. Arizona Cardinals (24)

Entered bye week in NFL Week 13 with 4-8 record.

23. Atlanta Falcons (18)

Lost to Steelers, 19-16, to fall to 5-8. Atlanta missed a prime chance to help its NFC South chances in Week 13.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers (29)

Beat Falcons, 19-16, to improve to 5-7. Maybe we wrote this team off too early? The Steelers have won two straight and just don't give up.

21. Cleveland Browns (20)

Beat Texans, 27-14, to improve to 5-7. The Browns' defense stole the show in Deshaun Watson's debut for Cleveland.

The Green Bay Packers' Christian Watson has scored eight touchdowns in the last four weeks.
The Green Bay Packers' Christian Watson has scored eight touchdowns in the last four weeks.

20. Green Bay Packers (26)

Beat Bears, 28-19, to improve to 5-8. Christian Watson has been on an absolute tear for the Packers.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (17)

Beat Saints, 17-16, to improve to 6-6. The Buccaneers got a much-needed win over the Saints, but we're just not sold on this team.

18. Detroit Lions (19)

Beat Jaguars, 40-14, to improve to 5-7. The good news? The Lions are in second place in the NFC North. The bad news? The Vikings are 10-2.

17. Las Vegas Raiders (21)

Beat Chargers, 27-20, to improve to 5-7. We debated moving this team higher. It has won three straight games to at least give itself a chance in the AFC playoff race.

16. New England Patriots (16)

Lost to Bills, 24-10, to fall to 6-6. The Patriots have lost two straight games and can't afford a third if they want to make the AFC postseason.

15. Los Angeles Chargers (14)

Lost to Raiders, 27-20, to fall to 6-6. This team is fighting for a playoff berth that won't come easily. It faces the Dolphins and Titans the next two weeks.

14. Tennessee Titans (10)

Lost to Eagles, 35-10, to fall to 7-5. The Titans have dropped two straight, but comfortably lead the AFC South. The rest of the division has won nine games combined.

13. New York Jets (12)

Lost to Vikings, 27-22, to fall to 7-5.  Will the move to Mike White at quarterback pay off for the Jets down the stretch? New York doesn't have an easy schedule.

T-11. Washington Commanders (9)

Tied Giants, 20-20, to move to 7-5-1. Guess who the Commanders play after a bye in Week 14? The Giants again, this time at home.

T-11. New York Giants (13)

Tied Commanders, 20-20, to move to 7-4-1.  If the Giants make the postseason, they are going to earn it. They still face the Eagles twice, the Commanders again and the Vikings in four of the last five weeks.

10. Seattle Seahawks (15)

Beat Rams, 27-23, to improve to 7-5. Too high for the Seahawks? Maybe. But this team deserves to be rewarded for continuing to surprise.

9. Baltimore Ravens (11)

Beat Broncos, 10-9, to improve to 8-4. Lamar Jackson's status looms over this team, but we aren't going to count them out down the stretch of the season.

8. Miami Dolphins (4)

Lost to 49ers, 33-17, to fall to 8-4. The Dolphins' offense looked pedestrian against the 49ers. This team still could make some noise in the AFC.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (8)

Beat Chiefs, 27-24, to improve to 8-4. This team is proving that last season's run to the Super Bowl was no fluke.

6. San Francisco 49ers (7)

Beat Dolphins, 33-17, to improve to 8-4. This team's defense can carry it a very long way. It might have to with Jimmy Garoppolo out for the season.

5. Kansas City Chiefs (2)

Lost to Bengals, 27-24, to fall to 9-3. The Chiefs may very well end up winning the AFC, but they probably want to avoid playing the Bengals in the postseason.

4. Buffalo Bills (5)

Beat Patriots, 24-10, to improve to 9-3. The Bills jumped from No. 5 to No. 1 in the AFC playoff picture after their Week 13 win. They are also No. 1 among AFC teams in our rankings.

3. Minnesota Vikings (6)

Beat Jets, 27-22, to improve to 10-2. The Vikings' only losses came against the Cowboys and Eagles. That puts them right behind those teams in our power rankings.

2. Dallas Cowboys (3)

Beat Colts, 54-19, to improve to 9-3. This team has the Texans and Jaguars up next before a Week 16 rematch with the Eagles.

1. Philadelphia Eagles (1)

Beat Titans, 35-10, to improve to 11-1. Is this the most complete team in the NFL? It sure seems like it. The Eagles can do it all.
