NFL DFS Plays: Championship Sunday

This article aims to highlight some of the best NFL DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the week, and sometimes injury situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NFL News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

We’ll take a look at the two-game slate for the Championship Round. Lineups lock at 3:05 ET on Sunday starting with the Bucs-Packers.

Josh Allen - Buffalo (at Kansas City) - DK: $6,900 / FD: $7,700 / Yahoo: $40

Even though he had a tough fantasy performance last week vs. Baltimore, I’m still rolling with Josh Allen this weekend. Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes are capable of scoring rushing touchdowns, but Allen has far and away the best rushing upside of this QB group. Almost all of Buffalo’s offensive production will flow through him, and I believe he is the best fantasy QB on this slate for that reason. Feel free to stack him with Stefon Diggs and/or John Brown - who we will talk about later.

Also Consider: Aaron Rodgers

Leonard Fournette - Tampa Bay (at Green Bay) - DK: $5,300 / FD: $7,200 / Yahoo: $22

Fournette has looked good in the playoffs so far. He racked up 132 total yards on 23 touches with Ronald Jones out vs. Washington. Even though Jones returned last week (9 carries), Fournette still posted 107 total yards and score against a tough Saints Defense. “Uncle Lenny” has established himself as the top rushing option for Tampa, and that bodes well for a matchup at Green Bay, who has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to RBs this season.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire - Kansas City (vs. Buffalo) - DK: $5,000 / FD: $6,200 / Yahoo: $20

Edwards-Helaire hasn’t played since Week 15, but he’s trending in the right direction for the AFC Championship. Backup RB Darrel Williams has filled in admirably, but “CEH” should be ready to take on a sizeable workload this Sunday. There’s a good chance that Kansas City runs the ball more than usual - as Buffalo’s defensive scheme and Mahomes’ health will both play a role. I believe Edwards-Helaire will see enough volume to satisfy his mid-range salary on all three DFS sites.

Also Consider: Aaron Jones

Chris Godwin - Tampa Bay (at Green Bay) - DK: $5,400 / FD: $6,800 / Yahoo: $26

I already liked Godwin’s fantasy prospects this weekend, then news dropped that Antonio Brown will not be playing. That should be enough to transform Godwin from ‘capable mid-range value’ to a ‘volumizing cash game fixture’. He checks in at a nice discount from the top options with realistic ambitions of producing in their fantasy range. That could be the case, especially if the game flow forces Tampa to the air.

John Brown - Buffalo (at Kansas City) - DK: $4,300 / FD: $5,600 / Yahoo: $14

Brown is one of the best bargains on the board for this slate. An injury alongside a dud on Wild Card Weekend has caused his salary to sharply decline. Brown bounced-back nicely last week, hauling in eight catches on 11 targets for 68 yards. That’s right around his baseline projection heading into this matchup at Kansas City, and Brown could find some upside if the Chiefs decide to allocate more defensive resources towards Diggs.

Also Consider: Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams

Cameron Brate - Tampa Bay (at Green Bay) - DK: $3,000 / FD: $5,000 / Yahoo: $14

It’s possible to make Travis Kelce work in a confident lineup. Antonio Brown’s injury helps make that a reality with more adequate value on this slate. Looking towards Kelce should be your first move, but I also want to let you know that Cameron Brate is a serviceable value filler. He’s cheap while outproducing Gronkowski with an 8-130 line on 11 targets in two playoff games. Taking Brate at TE could help you stack the FLEX spot with someone like Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, Aaron Jones, etc.

Also Consider: Travis Kelce

Green Bay (vs. Tampa Bay) - DK: $3,600 / FD: $4,400 / Yahoo: $13

I’m not afraid to choose a filler on defense based on whatever team fits with the rest of my lineup. Having said that, Green Bay is probably my first choice without taking salary into consideration. That comes via a process of elimination, as I have the least amount of faith in Tom Brady of the remaining QBs. The Packers have a capable pass rush to cause problems, and it helps that they are playing at home (in front of a crowd).
