NFL announces officiating crew for KC Chiefs-Buffalo Bills Divisional playoff game
Three weeks after he was scheduled to work a Chiefs game, John Hussey will be the referee for KC’s AFC Divisional playoff contest against the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium.
Hussey, who was a late scratch for the Chiefs-Bengals game on Jan. 2, has been an NFL official since 2002 and was promoted to referee in 2015.
Football Zebras wrote of Hussey: “ This is Hussey’s 15th postseason assignment, including 6 Wild Card Playoffs, 5 Divisional Playoffs, 3 Conference Championships, and Super Bowl XLV. His Super Bowl assignment was as a line judge.”
While missing that Chiefs’ game in Cincinnati, Hussey worked one other KC game this season: the 19-9 victory against the Dallas Cowboys at Arrowhead Stadium. No pass interference penalties were called that day.
This will be his first Chiefs playoff game since the 31-13 AFC Divisional Playoff victory over the Colts in 2019.
