The New York Rangers and RFA defenceman Tony DeAngelo have agreed to terms the team announced Friday.

No contract details were announced in the release, but TSN’s Frank Seravalli added that the deal will be for one-year worth $925,000.

The 23-year-old tallied four goals and 26 assists in 61 games last season, and led Rangers defensemen in points while ranking 12th in points among NHL defensemen 23 years old or younger.

DeAngelo has skated in 132 NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes and the Rangers, registering nine goals and 43 assists for 52 points since his debut in 2016.

He was originally drafted by Tampa Bay 19th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
