Mascots are already known for their tricks, but NJ Devil of the New Jersey Devils is certainly one of the most infamous in the NHL.

As the Devils and their rival, the New York Rangers, were set to play each other for the first time Thursday, the mascot took to Twitter to place a wager with late night star Jimmy Fallon on the game’s result.

New Jersey emerged with the victory, winning 5-2, and the mascot will be taking their talents to late night.

Fallon, a noted Rangers fan, will be on the receiving end of a thrown pie coming from the Devil himself. Of course, they had to display their preparation.

It won’t be Fallon’s first run in with a pie to the face by a sports figure, but it might be his most humiliating.

If anything, he could blame Alexander Georgiev for letting in four goals on 37 shots to hand New Jersey its first win of the season.
