NEPA Horror Film Festival and Scranton Punk Flea + Zinefest present Spooky Summer event

May 14—NEPA Horror Film Festival and Scranton Punk Flea + Zinefest will team up once again to present Spooky Summer on Saturday, June 12 at noon at Circle Drive-In, 1911 Scranton Carbondale Highway, Dickson City.

The horror film and flea market event event features a double-feature screening of slasher horror film "Ice Cream Man" and cult musical comedy "Rock N Roll High School" as well as several short films. A meet-and-greet with actor Clint Howard, who appeared in both of the event's featured films as well as "The Andy Griffith Show," "Star Trek" and more, also will take place during Spooky Summer.

Similar to its sister event that takes place in the fall, guests at Spooky Summer can peruse goods from more than 50 vendors or catch live music from acts including Wife Swamp, Fat Chance and reunion performance by Scranton-born band, The SW!MS. There also will be a Riff Randall lookalike contest and the best costume inspired by the "Rock 'n' Roll High School" character will win $50 and a gift box of punk band Ramones merchandise.

Tickets cost $20 for single admission and $75 per carload. They can be purchased by visiting nepahorrorfilmfest.weebly.com. For more information, visit the NEPA Horror Film Festival or Scranton DIY Punk Collective on Facebook or the event's Facebook page.
