N.C. State looks to complete the nonconference part of its schedule and stay unbeaten when the No. 12 Wolfpack hosts Connecticut at Carter-Finley Stadium. The Pack is coming off a 27-14 win over Texas Tech and is a 39-point favorite over the Huskies, who are 1-3 after a 59-0 loss at Michigan.

N&O reporter Chip Alexander is at Carter-Finley Stadium and will have updates from all the action from the game, which begins at 7:30 p.m.

Rosa TD: NC State 41, UConn 10

Victor Rosa had an 11-yard scoring run with 2:08 leff in the fourth for a Huskies TD.

Smith FG: NC State 41, UConn 3

Collin Smith’s 40-yard field goal with 13:22 left in the fourth quarter has pushed the lead to 38 points. Christopher Dunn had a 48-yarder in the first half.

Rooks TD: NC State 38, UConn 3

Devin Leary’s fourth TD pass of the night, on the Pack’s second series of the second half, was a 4-yard pass to Porter Rooks with 4:17 left in the third quarter. The Pack tried to catch UConn off-guard on its first series of the half, but placekicker Christoper Dunn was stopped short of a first down after taking a lateral from holder Shane McDonough as the Pack set up for a field goal.

Halftime: NC State 31, UConn 3

All Wolfpack. Devin Leary connected with Thayer Thomas on a 75-yard TD pass on the first play of the game and the rout was on. UConn’s only points came on a field goal on the final snap of the half.

The Pack had 18 first downs and 357 yards in total offense in the half as Leary was 25-32 passing for 275 yards and three TDS, getting a lot of receivers involved. UConn had 59 yards in total offense.

Ruelas FG: NC State 31, UConn 3

The Huskies turned an interception into some points before the half ended. Devin Leary’s pass was picked off by Camryn Edwards and returned to the NCSU 11 but a sack by Davin Vann resulted in a Noe Ruelas’ 28-yard field goal on the final play of the first half.

Lesane TD catch: NC State 31, UConn 0

The Pack went 71 yards in 11 plays for another score and another Devin Leary TD throw, a 2-yarder to Keyon Lesane with 2:53 left in the first half. Leary had completions of 22 and 8 yards to Devin Carter in the drive as seven players have caught passes in the game.

Carter TD catch: NC State 24, UConn 0

After an 18-yard throw to Porter Rooks on a third-and-14 play from the NCSU 19, Devin Leary teamed up with Devin Carter for the score. Carter made a tough catch in traffic and a quick move and nearly scored on a 28-yard completion. Carter was ruled out out bounds inside the 1-yard line -- a call upheld on review -- but Leary then went back to Carter on a throw into the right corner of the end zone for the TD.

Dunn FG: NC State 17, UConn 0

The Pack has scored on its first three possession but settled for a 48-yard field goal from Christopher Dunn on the third. A holding penalty and false-start penalty stalled the Wolfpack drive.
