- Dennis "The Worm" Rodman, an anomaly in every sense of the word. On the court, he wasn't just a great rebounder, he was a genius, the greatest rebounder we've ever seen, and he played during the golden age of big men. Shaq, Hakeem, Malone, and David Robinson roamed the pivot, and none of them could out rebound this 6'7" 37-year-old. When it comes to defense, he is arguably the best on-ball defender that ever lived. What human can boast that they've guarded both MJ and the Diesel? Not many, if any.

He made his way to the hall doing nothing but dirty work, two-time defensive player of the year, five championships, eight-time all-defense, and a record-holding seven consecutive rebound titles. Off the court, he was an icon, challenging the world's perceptions of sexuality and masculinity in ways no athlete has ever done before him, ignoring social norms, willing the travel any and all paths in search of self, a self that he may still be trying to find, but you are appreciated, Dennis. There has never been a you before you, and there will never be another.
