Adebayo, 23, appeared to re-aggravate a shoulder strain he initially suffered in the Eastern Conference finals. It happened in the third quarter of the Heat’s blowout Game 1 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters on Thursday an MRI revealed a neck strain on the same side of his previous shoulder strain. He is officially listed as doubtful by the Heat heading into the 9 p.m. ET tipoff.
Also listed as doubtful was guard Goran Dragic, who reportedly suffered a plantar tear in the second quarter of Game 1. He will reportedly not play in Game 2, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
