The annual Fourth of July event has become a staple and has featured some memorable performances on the festive holiday.

Top-ranked female Miki Sudo will make her return to the contest after not participating in 2021 due to pregnancy. Prior to her maternity leave, she set a personal record of 48 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. Sudo will compete with last year’s champion Michelle Lesco, who ate 30¾ hot dogs and buns at the televised event at Maimonides Park.
