NAMI support group meets Monday

Dec. 8—NORWALK — The NAMI Family and Friends Support Group will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church.

The church is located at 243 Benedict Avenue in Norwalk.

Join us for a for a little Holiday celebration. NAMI support groups are for any individual living with a mental health condition or, for anyone caring for an individual with a mental health condition. The support meeting is an important resource for families, friends and caregivers who has a loved one living with persistent mental illness.

One of the benefits is finding someone to talk with who understands the challenges when you or your loved one is struggling. Knowing that other families are having the same experiences as you can be a relief. This is a welcoming space to talk openly about struggles, connect with others going through similar experiences, and find a safe and supportive community. Our group is an opportunity for you to experience that you are never alone. All are welcome.

All services are free. For more information, contact us at (419) 334-8021 or visit our website at www.naminorthwest.org. NAMI Northwest is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
