Nacco: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

CLEVELAND (AP) _ Nacco Industries Inc. (NC) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $5.5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Cleveland-based company said it had a loss of 77 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, came to 53 cents per share.

The small appliance maker posted revenue of $23.1 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $14.8 million, or $2.10 per share. Revenue was reported as $128.4 million.

Nacco shares have risen 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $28.14, a fall of 29% in the last 12 months.
