MVL Baseball: Sheridan, Pauley headline all-league squads

ZANESVILLE — Sheridan's Caden Sheridan and Morgan's Wade Pauley had stellar years for their respective squads, which won their Muskingum Valley League divisions.

Both were recognized by the league's coaches, as Sheridan was named the Big School Division player of the year, and Pauley earned the same honor in the Small School Division.

Tri-Valley's Landon Harney was tabbed the Big School Division pitcher of the year, and Doug Fisher of Sheridan was the coach of the year after the Generals won the division at 13-3.

Coshocton's Hudson Wesney earned the pitcher of the year accolade in the Small School Division with Morgan's Seth Brown earning the coach of the year award after the Raiders took the division title with an 11-5 mark.

In the Big School, the first team included Sheridan, Harney, Tri-Valley's Hansel Holmes, River View's Brody Shrimplin, Philo's Owen Smith and Cade Searls, John Glenn's Colt Emerson, Blade Barclay and Colin Campbell and Sheridan's Blaine Hannan.

Special mention went to Maysville's Coen Fink and Nate Harper, Sheridan's Corey Amspaugh, Coyle Withrow and Sam Taylor, Tri-Valley's Kyler Spinks and Ty Smith, River View's Owen Emig, Philo's Carter McCutcheon and John Glenn's Gunner Fox.

Honorable mention went to Jarrett Thorne of Sheridan, Griffin Wells and Seth Vousden of Philo, Ashton Sensibaugh, Jalen Goins-Chandler and Bennett Baker from Tri-Valley, Evan McPeak and Bryson Fry of River View and Avery Parmer from John Glenn.

In the Small School Division, Pauley and Wesney were joined on first team by Hayden Loy and Easton Eibel of Meadowbrook, Kobe Rust and Zach Jennings from Coshocton, Tatem Toth and Isaac McGill from New Lexington, Ethan Sprankle and Austin Love of Crooksville and Levi Brown from Morgan.

Special Mention featured Meadowbrook's Brady McManway, Austin Fox and Aiden Reis, Morgan's Carson Copeland, Carson Mummey, Colin Janes and Coleman Welsh, New Lex's Hunter Kellogg, West Muskingum's Hunter Porter and Coshocton's Blake Alexander.

Honorable Mention included Coshocton's Travin Berry, New Lex's Jerek Braglin, Harley Gottke and Garret Blosser, Meadowbrook's Damen Launder and Josh Hupp, Morgan's Brayden Shuster, Crooksville's Noah Dickerson and Sky Moore and West M's Wes Houston
