In 2019, he joined the board of directors of Papa Johns, a role that earned him $8.25 million in stock and salary over a three-year period, and extended the deal in 2022 for another three years and $11 million, Restaurant Business reported.

O’ Neal accumulated a number of properties over the years, including a Florida mansion he bought for $3.95 million in 1993. He listed the 31,000-square-foot $28 million and sold it three years later for $11 million, the Los Angeles Times reported.
In October 2022, Realtor.com listed all of the properties O’Neal owned at the time, and it was impressive. He can count among his addresses a five-bedroom, 5,269-square-foot home in Texas; three expansive homes in the Atlanta suburb of McDonough; a seven-bedroom seven-bath mansion in Davie, Florida; and large properties in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
