Bruce Brown is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but his value to the Brooklyn Nets is undeniable.

As a versatile two-way player, Brown was arguably the best Nets player on the floor for stretches of the playoff series against the Boston Celtics, and his postseason performances doubtlessly raised his contract value at a crucial time.

Brown signed a one-year qualifying offer worth $4,736,102 as a restricted free agent last year. On the open market, though, Brown is set to receive offers far in excess of $5 million per year.

Via SI.com:

“This offseason, the Nets ownership and front-office are going to have to open up their checkbooks if they are to continue being a championship contender and what they decide to do must start with Bruce Brown.

A three-to-four year deal worth around $14 million to $18 million per year is definitely in-play this offseason for Brown, especially when you compare his numbers and value to other players around the league in this annual average value bracket.”
