Mount Union's science series to resume in November

ALLIANCE – University of Mount Union’s Engaging Science, Innovation and Technology seminar series will continue with members of the institution’s College of Applied and Social Sciences and College Natural and Health Sciences.

The series’ second talk will be 4:15 p.m. Nov. 9 with Dr. Tomás Barrett, from the Department of Exercise, Sport and Nutrition Sciences, discussing “Drug Therapies and Modifiable Risk Factors of Alzheimer’s Disease” in Room 04 of Bracy Hall.

On Nov. 30, Dr. Jinwoo An will discuss “Sustainable Construction Materials” at 4:15 in Room 02 of Bracy Hall.

Light refreshments will be available at each presentation, along with time for questions from the audience. These events are free and open to the public.

The seminar series is intended to engage the campus community to develop an environment of mutual learning between the STEM and health departments to benefit students in preparation for their future careers.

The series is designed to be given by a faculty member on a modern, interesting topic in science that will showcase the science, innovation and technology of the topic.
