Mothers Advocate For Age Restrictions For Kids In Collision Sports

Kimberly and Jan claim football left each of their son’s brains so damaged that it led to their deaths. Both young men, it was later discovered, were afflicted with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a brain condition linked to repeated head injuries. Now Kimberly and Jan are advocating for age restrictions for sports. “You only get one brain,” says Kimberly. “So delaying repetitive hits until they’re older – until they’re able to convey properly what their symptoms are from a brain injury – that just makes good sense.” Watch the video above to hear more.
