UPDATE: Missing mother and two children from Montville have been found safe

A mother and her two children from Montville who had been declared missing since Sunday have been "found safe and unharmed," prosecutors announced Thursday evening.

However, the mother has declined to return home to her husband, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

The 39-year-old mother, Cheng Hsiao, was reported missing over the weekend, along with her 3- and 2-year-old sons, but all three were located safe, though prosecutors did not say where or when.

The county would not disclose where Hsiao and her children are currently staying while state authorities work to relocate the three family members.
