Moo-ve It Or Lose It: Cows Bring Alabama Highway Traffic to a Halt

A pair of runaway cows brought traffic on Interstate 59/20 near Vance, Alabama, to a standstill for a short time on July 12 after they wandered from a nearby field onto the busy highway.

The cows were wandering Interstate 59/20 for around 45 minutes before they were corralled by wranglers on horseback, reports said.

Speaking to Alabama Live, Alabama Department of Transportation spokesman John McWilliams said there were only two cows, but since they ran onto the interstate it created a safety issue.
