MoMo Sanogo enters transfer portal

Nov. 29—OXFORD — Ole Miss linebackers MoMo Sanogo and Daylen Gill and defensive tackle Patrick Lucas Jr. have entered their names into the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.

Sophomore defensive tackle LeDarrius Cox tweeted out that he has entered the portal as well.

Sanogo, a former four-star recruit out of Plano West High in Texas, led Ole Miss in tackles as a sophomore in 2018 (112) but has seen diminished playing time in the last few seasons, this season playing behind Maryland transfer Chance Campbell. The senior made 60 tackles in 2020 and 25 in 2021. He racked up 209 total tackles in his career and made 20 starts.

Sanogo has one year of eligibility remaining. He has already graduated from Ole Miss and was honored at Senior Day.

Gill, also a senior, started one game in his Ole Miss career and made 22 total tackles, including four in 2021. The Louisville, Mississippi, product transferred to Ole Miss from Jones College. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Lucas, a sophomore, played in two games this season. He did not record any statistics.

Cox made five tackles in his Ole Miss career. He was moved to the offensive line earlier this season and was not listed on the team's most recent two-deep depth chart.
