From left, election inspectors Karen McBride and Paulene Santino sort through polling documents at the Parkway Recreation Center in Utica on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Utica residents were able to go to multiple polling sites to elect two new school board members and to vote on whether to approve the district's proposed $213.5 million 2022-23 budget.

Only two incumbents running for local school boards were defeated in area school elections on Tuesday, May 17.

But many incumbents chose not to run for re-election and a large slate of new members were also voted in.

All proposed budgets were approved and only one proposition, for the Morrisville Public Library, was defeated.

The following results, listed by county, are unofficial.
