Tampa Bay Rays (vs. New York Yankees - SP Jordan Montgomery)

I don’t really pay much mind to other daily fantasy analysts but I can only assume the Tampa Bay Rays will be the chalkiest stack on the slate. Montgomery is allowing massive long ball numbers to opposing right-handed batters. This includes big BVP stats, impressive power/contact percentages, as well as common splits (that also favor Tampa Bay). Montgomery will face the Rays for the third time this season, which only allows talented batters such as Mike Zunino, Manuel Margot, Mike Brosseau and Randy Arozarena to adjust for optimal results. This is my top stack of the day. Despite small sample sizes, these 4 players have five home runs against Montgomery batting a combined 8 for 20. Montgomery is allowing opposing righties to hit .272 with a 812 OPS. The Yankees starter owns a 5.40 ERA over his last 28.2 innings pitched. The Tampa Bay Rays are favored by -130 with an 8 O/U Courtesy of

Other Cash Stack: Houston Astros & Boston Red Sox

Washington Nationals (vs. Philadelphia Phillies - SP Chase Anderson)

The Washington Nationals have a very interesting matchup against Chase Anserson and the Phillies tonight. The reason this is interesting is because Washington’s top players exhibit horrible BVP stats against Anderson while the back of the order shows stellar stats against Philadephia’s righties. Ready for this? Victor Robles, Yan Gomes, Josh Harrison and Starlin Castro are batting 14 for 36 with seven doubles and four home runs against Anderson. That is amazing. Now, Washington’s 2, 3, 4, batters have a combined 8 for 43 with three doubles and just one home run. It is obvious the back of Washhington’s lineup had a significant advantage in past games against Anderson. The Washington Nationals could be a chalky stack tonight but by investing in the back end of their lineup you can save salary, while being contrarian. This is a GPP approach to investing in a Washington team that are currently favored by -125 with a 9.0 O/U.
