MLB releases postseason schedule and the World Series begins Oct. 22

Pick out your best costume, baseball fans, because you’ll be able to celebrate Halloween this year. Major League Baseball released its postseason schedule Monday, and Game 7 of the World Series will occur on Oct. 30 if necessary.

That’s right, there will be no baseball on the night of Halloween. That also means we won’t have any November baseball.

The National League will kick off the 2019 MLB postseason. The wild-card game will be played Oct. 1. The American League wild-card game will take place the following day.

The MLB regular season ends Sunday, Sept. 29. If there are any ties, those games will be played Sept. 30.

ESPN will televise the AL wild-card game, but the majority of MLB postseason games will be available on FS1, MLB Network or TBS. Fox will carry the American League Championship Series and will broadcast every World Series game.
