MLB: NFL star takes stunning one-handed grab in Rays' match
An American football star showed off his brilliant handling skills as he took a terrific one-handed catch at a Major League Baseball match.
OJ Howard, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, was among the crowd, cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays in their match against the Houston Astros in the fourth game of the five-match series. With the scores now locked at two wins apiece the series will be settled overnight on Thursday.
But it was a random moment off a foul ball which proved cause for a double-take.
After a fan made a smart grab in the crowd, commentators were forced to revisit the action as it emerged it was Howard.
Adding further amusement to the moment, it appears as though the 24-year-old took the ball while the fan behind him was well placed to take it home. That said, it would have taken a brave fan to kick off at the 6ft 6in, 250lb football player, especially after he nailed the catch.
