Game notes: After having their lunch (or perhaps their dinner) handed to them for the third time this season by rookie righty Joe Ryan on Friday night — his line this season against Detroit: 23⅔ innings, 33 strikeouts, three walks and two runs allowed — the Tigers are probably happy to see Bundy, who has allowed five earned runs in 11⅔ innings with nine strikeouts against Detroit this season. Rookie first baseman Spencer Torkelson, who's hitless in his past five games, is 2-for-5 with a double against Bundy.

The Tigers and Twins wrap up the 2022 Comerica Park slate with a 12:10 p.m. start Sunday; the Tigers then head west for a four-game set against the Seattle Mariners while the Twins will finish on the road against the White Sox on the South Side of Chicago.
