Missouri Tigers men’s basketball redshirt freshman Sean Durugordon has decided to transfer.

“After discussing with my family, I’ve decided to enter my name into the transfer portal,” Durugordon wrote in a social media post. “Thank you Mizzou for everything. Looking forward to what the future holds.”

Durugordon, a 6-foot-5 forward out of Queens, New York, graduated high school early and enrolled as a freshman in the second semester of the 2020-21 academic year. Though he didn’t see the court that year, he was expecting to get more involved as a redshirt freshman this season.

Durugordon, though, had limited playing time in 2021-22. He played a total of 65 minutes across 12 games, averaging 3.2 points per game.

With Durugordon’s departure, Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin is down to 11 scholarship players.

The Tigers are set to face Alabama in a road game at 5 p.m. Saturday. The game will air on the SEC Network.
