Mitchell's Noah Larson and Allison Meyerink both place in the top-five of the SDGA Sanford Golf Series
Jul. 6—BROOKINGS — During the SDGA Sanford Golf Series at the Brooking Country Club on Tuesday, July 5, Mitchell had two golfers finish amongst the top-five and three place in the top-10.
Noah Larson shot a 3-over-par 75 to tie for third-place with Tea's Keeton Newborg. Larson had one birdie as he finished two strokes behind first-place William Sanford from Sioux Falls, who shot a 1-over-par 73. Sioux Falls' Hayden Scott shot a 2-over-par 74 to claim second while Harrisburg's Will Parsons and Hartford's Radley Mauney rounded out the top-five as they tied for fifth with a total of 76.
In the girls division, Allison Meyerink sunk one birdie to help finish in fourth-place, tying with Brookings' Delilah Fuls as they shot 14-over-par 86. Quinn Dannenbring came in eighth for Mitchell as she shot an 18-over-par 90. Aberdeen's Olivia Braun won the competition as shot 6-over-par 78. Miller's Jayce Pugh placed second with a score of 83, with Mattie Weidenbach from Sioux Falls coming in third with a total score of 85.
