Mississippi State receiver, former four-star Teddy Knox enters transfer portal

Jan. 20—STARKVILLE — Mississippi State freshman receiver Teddy Knox has entered the transfer portal, per reports he reposted onto his Instagram account.

Knox is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Southern Lab High School in Baton Rouge his first two years of high school before playing at The Woodlands High School in Texas.

He was a consensus four-star recruit.

Knox didn't record a catch for Mississippi State in his first season as most of his reps came on special teams. He had one kick return for 31 yards in MSU's 55-10 win against Tennessee State on Nov. 11.

Knox joins Malik Heath and Quinton Torbor as receivers to enter the transfer portal. State also lost its leading receiver in Makai Polk to the NFL Draft following its Liberty Bowl loss.

Mississippi State also made additions at receiver through the portal with Georgia transfer Justin Robinson and Northwestern transfer Jordan Mosley.
